We are situated just off the High Street in Trinity Square, opposite the library and Holy Trinity Church. Lion Walk and Culver Square shopping centres are on our doorstep. Colchester Castle, museums and art centres, including the new stunning and iconic Firstsite visual arts centre, are all within a few minutes walk, as is Castle Park and the Leisure Centre. We are even on The Colchester Tourist Trail because of our celebrated previous resident.
The Essex coastline, with its creeks rich in wildlife, Beth Chatto's world acclaimed gardens, and "Constable Country" are all within a 25 minute drive.
Colchester Zoo - well worth a visit - is 15 minutes away.
Buses run from the High Street or the Bus Station with frequent connections to London from the Train Station. There are frequent coaches to Stansted (Express) and Essex University is on a nearby bus route. The junction to the A12 is close by with Harwich a 25 minute drive away. Taxis are available from the nearby rank in the High Street (or we can book from the house). We provide parking at the house by arrangement whilst there are numerous public car parks within a few minutes walk.
