Daytime or evening there are many restaurants to choose for a meal out, catering for every taste, budget and cuisine. From cosy pubs and family eateries to high class restaurants.

For entertainment, the multiplex cinema is five minutes away as are the two theatres. There are organised evenings in Castle Park with concerts and firework displays over the summer. The Leisure Centre with its swimming pool and Spa is just the other side of the park along with ten pin bowling.

You can party the night away in Colchester's lively bar and nightclub venues or listen to local musicians playing in art centres and pubs. No long wait for a taxi home - everything is a few minutes walk.

We have been awarded the Visit England Breakfast Award .

Breakfast is served in the dining room or the walled courtyard between 7:30 am and 9:00 am Monday to Friday and at weekends from 8am to 10am. The produce is locally sourced and organic where possible. Tables can accommodate from one up to 8 guests (for that family event!).

Start with cereals and fresh juices followed by a full English breakfast of Proctors award-winning sausages, bacon, eggs, mushrooms and when in season our own home grown tomatoes. Accompanied by toast and the well known local Wilkins Tiptree jams and marmalades, and tea or freshly ground coffee.

Alternatively try our healthy option breakfast of natural yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereals and toast with preserves or, when on offer, the special of the day.

Please let us know in advance of any special dietary requirements and we will endeavour to satisfy your requests.

After you have settled in and unpacked, we will spend a little time with you to complete the paperwork and answer your queries. Information about Colchester and the surrounding area will be available in the hall and also in your room. Just ask us for anything else.
